A Gentleman Movie Review: Plot
The film initiates with a brief introduction of the totally Sundar and Sushil Gaurav [Sidharth Malhotra] alongside the similar looking Sundar and Risky Rishi [Sidharth Malhotra]. On one hand, Gaurav works in a leading software company in the marketing departments whereas, on the other hand, Rishi works as the main guy in ‘Unit X’, a gang led by Colonel [Suniel Shetty]. Colonel is described as a guy who does not care about his workers. Instead, he’ll let anyone from his group die without a second thought for his own benefit.
Gaurav is a guy who wants to live a normal life in his own big house where he plays with his children. However, because of his shy nature, he’s unable to express her love regarding Kavya [Jacqueline Fernandez] to her because of being scared of rejection. At the same time, Rishi finally decides to leave the crime sector and live a peaceful life staying away from violence. However, the Colonel thinks otherwise as he assigns Rishi a final task and decides to kill him in the end.

A Gentleman Movie Review: Plot Analysis
The concept of double roles in a movie is always exciting. Since the Judwaa days, people would love to see twins acting in the same movie. Unlike Judwaa, this time around we have ‘A Gentleman’ in which two actors who are totally different to each other (which mostly happens in double role movies), are fighting for their dreams in a peculiar way. The plot of the film engages the audience deeply in the first half. However, as the film progresses you would find the film to be a dull venture.
Surprisingly, not only A Gentleman but many movies in the past year have failed to match the momentum of the first half in their respective second half. The recent victim of the same issue was Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. The thrill factor is the film is messed up. However, the action scenes make it a good one-time watch!
A Gentleman Movie Review: Star Cast Performance
Siddharth Malhotra: The actor impresses in his double role act in the movie. Being criticized for portraying similar kind of roles in the past, he experiments his acting skills in this movie. He saved a lot of times of the critics by impressing everyone with his performance.
Jacqueline Fernandez: The film advertised on the base of stating that it will be an action packed thriller with the heroine performing many action scenes in the movie ends up becoming the usual Bollywood film. There are some action scenes (mostly which were shown in the trailer and songs) and some parts where she struggles. Her pole dance is the highlight of the movie.
Suniel Shetty: The actor kind of steals the spotlight away from Sidharth whenever he appears on the big screen with his stellar acting skills.
Supporting Cast: Hussain Dalal is someone to look forward to in the future, he leaves a good impression on the audience in the film. Darshan Kumar continues to impress as well.
A Gentleman Movie Review: Final Thoughts
The film fulfills its promise of being ‘The Hottest Film of the Year’, all thanks to the good looking pair of the movie. However, the plot of the movie is the culprit here. To put it simply, A Gentleman is a good-looking action packed dull film. Two stars for this movie!
