The Nitesh Tiwari directorial Dangal has come back to the news once again with its stellar performance in Hong Kong. The film released in December 2016 during the Christmas weekend has collected an incredible amount of money from both domestic and overseas territories. After conquering China, the film has now stormed the Hong Kong Box Office. The film was out on 46 screens in Hong Kong which is the widest release for any Indian film in the country. The film earned HK$ 2,029,148 [1.66 crores] and including the paid previews on its two days at the Hong Kong Box Office.
Talking about records, this is the highest opening day collections for an Indian film at the Hong Kong box office. With such an amazing start, the film is likely to add more crores in its present overseas box office collections that presently stand at the total of USD 213.97 million [1369.92 crores in rupees].
Dangal is a sports drama film that showcases the story of Phogat sisters. The film featured Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Zaira Wasim and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead roles. The film is highest grossing Indian film at the Worldwide box office. It became the second film after Bahubali 2: The Conclusion to cross the 1000 crore mark worldwide as well.
