The Deewani Mastani actress Deepika Padukone will be seen in the upcoming movie Padmavati. The actress who is nowadays working on honing her dance skills is working on Ghoomar dance form of Rajasthan. The actress is learning this Rajasthani folk dance form so as to portray her skills in the movie. For the shoot a replica of the Fort of Chittorgarh has been created at Mehboob studio. The replica has a clear impression of the water palace of Chittorgarh.
The movie’s shoot will commence with a special dance track where Deepika will be seen performing this traditional dance form. For teaching Deepika this artistic dance style a troupe of local folk dancers from Rajasthan has landed in Mumbai. She will be under their consistent guidance and rigorous to master the dance form.
The actress who previously rocked the screen with her dance as Mastani is now going to set the screen on fire again with her Rajasthani avatar. The movie will be produced under the able guidance of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The director cum producer had in 2008 staged a played titled Padmavati in 2008. The play was an Indian adaptation of a 1923 ballet by Albert Roussel. The producers has gathered international acclaim at this stage show and was critically acclaimed too. The first play was premiered at Paris at the Théâtre du Châtelet and the second one was at Festival Dei Due Mondi. He was widely appreciated for this work.

The movie’s plot is based on Alauddin Khilji’s mad fascination for queen Padmavati of Chittorgarh.
