The Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham Girl Malvika Raaj is all set to make her return to Bollywood in a film opposite Emraan Hashmi in her grown-up Bollywood debut.
Malvika Raaj grabbed a lot of spotlight with her cute act as Pooja Sharma portraying the younger version of Kareena Kapoor in K3G. Following her childhood debut, she took a break from Bollywood to complete her studies. However, now she is all set to play the love interest to Emraan Hashmi in Captain Nawab. Talking about the movie, Malvika said:
“It’s a performance-oriented role. I liked the script. As part of my prep, I will be learning Urdu and Punjabi and have already begun workshop. His 2008 film Jannat is one of my favourites. I start shooting in mid-October in Mumbai, Emraan starts before me.”
Following her statements regarding the shooting of the movie and her admiration for Emraan Hashmi; she stated everything regarding her life when she took a break from Bollywood. Malvika said that she was not good in studies. However, she’d rock in extracurriculars and acting classes. Her actual words were:
“I graduated in commerce but continued training in dance and martial arts and also learnt acting from Anupam Kher’s Institute. I was not the best in studies but remained at the forefront in extracurriculars like dramatics and dance.”
When asked if she liked getting additional spotlight due to her act in K3G, the actress replied:
“I loved every bit of the attention.”
Captain Nawab is a film directed by Tony D’Souza that now features Emraan Hashmi and Malvika Raaj in the lead roles. The movie slated to release next year.
