Movie Review:

After a year full of realistic movies expectations were really high from this very first Bollywood release of 2017. And when the movie has a super hit pair like Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor then the audience just can’t wait to watch the movie. Plus, Ok Jaanu is the remake of Tamil Super hit movie Ok Kanmani. So, with sky high expectations let’s find out if the movie is worth your weekend or not.

Movie begins when Adi (Aditya Roy Kapur) is trying to save Tara (Shraddha Kapoor) when she is ready to commit suicide because of her relationship troubles. And then right from their second meeting you see the leading pair of the movie madly and deeply in love.

After a while both of them are indulged in the typical couple stuff. Staying together, dancing with each other and all those mushy mushy romance. Not to forget a very important part of the movie is also the house owners where they leave. An old age couple which is being played by Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson in the movie is totally a delight to watch. A big plus about the movie is that there are very few characters in the movie but together they make the movie a worthwhile watch.

So, all this romantic saga continue for six months after which the couple is ready to move ahead in their respective lives. They will lead to their different parts and are rejoicing the last 10 days with each others. And then what happens in the movie is one of the most predictable thing in Bollywood. We have numerous movies on this subject and that’s what makes Ok Jaanu an average movie.

But with such peppy beautiful songs and flawless editing which very few movies have in these days, Ok Jaanu is a must watch these weekend.

Rating – 3.5/5
