Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is setting new records in all departments since its release. The grand spectacle is making news once again. However, this time we are not talking about the box office records. Instead, the makers of Bahubali 2 and Netflix have fixed a deal worth $4 million [25.50 crores] that allows the streaming platform to let its users stream Bahubali 2: The Conclusion online and watch it without any interruptions.
Thus, if anyone in the world were not able to watch the movie on the big screen then they can watch it online on Netflix. The streaming platform is presently available in 192 countries that strengthens the presence of Bahubali 2 in the outer world as well.
Jessica Lee, vice-president [communications] of Netflix said:
“On the content front, we are doubling down on Indian investment to curate a compelling content library encompassing original and licensed titles. We are touching a pool of consumers with a great passion for diverse entertainment, offering global originals like Narcos, Stranger Things, The Crown and mainstream, star-driven Indian films that have wide appeal (e.g. our Shah Rukh Khan titles or recent acquisitions of top ones like Dangal and Baahubali).”
Shobu Yarlagadda, co-founder and CEO of Arka Mediaworks, the company who produced the franchise also added:
“We are very happy and excited to partner with Netflix. Theatrically, it’s not possible to reach all markets, but with this deal, Baahubali will reach 192 countries seamlessly.”
Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is presently the highest grossing domestic film and was the first movie to cross the 1000 crore mark the worldwide box office.
