Sunny Deol‘s Poster Boys and Daddy managed to bring in only a sum of around 3 crores at the Indian box office on their Day 1. The mixed word of mouth is hitting both the films and benefitting the likes of Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan to keep up with the box office collections even in their second week. Daddy at one side collected around 1.55 crores almost similar to what it collected yesterday. On the other hand, Poster Boys faced a similar fate as it collected 2.40 crores on its Day 2 (1st Saturday) at the Indian Box Office.
Daddy is a movie that features Arjun Rampal giving his career best performance. Though, the movie faced stiff competition from other new releases as well as the previously running Bollywood films. The mixed word of mouth is not working for the film that showcases the brave life of Arun Gawli. The two collection total of the movie presently stands at 2.80 crores which is not something that the makers would not like considering the budget of the film.
Poster Boys featuring Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Shreyas Talpade is also failing to create any hullaballoo at the Indian box office. The 30 crore budget of the film is already too big to recover. It was needed that the film showed around 40% growth in collections on Saturday and continue it over to Sunday. However, as of now, Deols starrer movie stands at a total of 4.15 crores* in two days. Only a miracle can save the film now.
The debacle of the new releases has greatly helped previously running films, especially Shubh Mangal Saavdhan to add some more chunk of money to their lifetime totals. The Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer added around 2.70 crores in these two days whereas the Ajay Devgn starrer Baadshaho added 3 crores to its lifetime total.
