A Ludhiana court has outright rejected the anticipatory bail application of the actress Rakhi Sawant. On the contrary, the court issued a fresh arrest warrant against the actress for her failing to appear in the court today for her case charges of hurting communal sentiments. The Judicial magistrate Vishav Gupta has now posted the matter for September 5.
Lawyers of Rakhi Sawant are trying their best to apply for a bail application by seeking help from the district sessions judge Gurbir Singh by asking for an extension of the bail on the grounds stating that she couldn’t appear before the court because she was in the United States of America. The judge granted the anticipatory bail on August 5 on a condition that the actress would surrender before the trial court on August 7.
Previously, Advocate Narinder Adiya filed a complaint against Rakhi Sawant on July 9, 2016, claiming that her comments on TV had hurt the sentiments of the Valmiki community. Following which the actress apologized for her remarks by stating:
“I never meant to hurt anyone. However, if I did it in ignorance, I seek an apology from the people.”
She was not able to make it to Ludhiana court before of missing her flight from Mumbai due to a subtle foot injury. The reason behind all the outrage is because Rakhi called Valmiki a murderer during an interview on TV.
