Sanjay Dutt is going to make his much-awaited come back with his upcoming movie Bhoomi that is all set to hit the theatres on 22 September later this year. Moreover, as per certain reports, the actor will be seen reciting Sanskrit shlokas in the movie as well.
The untitled song is going to be an edgy and devotional track sung by Dutt and Ajay Gogavale. Sachin-Jigar are going to compose the music. It is explicitly inspired by Maa – the divine mother of the cosmos that represents the Shiv Shakti concept. Talking about the song, Sachin-Jigar said:
“Sanjay Dutt is an all rounder. He can sing, act and dance effortlessly at the same time, he is a multitasking rock star for us. He has sung a few Sanskrit shlokas and took precisely 60 minutes in the studio to deliver his part with no prior training.”
The composers also stated that they are going to rope in an international singer to complement Sanjay’s version of the song. However, the idea was dropped due to various reasons. Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt recently announced that he’ll start working on the third installment of ‘Munna Bhai’ series post-Bhoomi at the trailer launch event of Bhoomi. Rajkumar Hirani will direct the movie whereas Vidhu Vinod Chopra will produce it.
Bhoomi is a story of a father who decides to take revenge for his daughter and save her integrity. Alongside Sanjay Dutt, the movie also features Aditi Rao Hydari playing the daughter’s role in the movie. The Omung Kumar directorial is going to clash with Shraddha Kapoor‘s Haseena Parkar on September 22, 2017.
