Shah Rukh Khan‘s box office journey is second to none in terms of struggles and stardom both at the same time. The actor had to overcome a lot of struggles to become the ‘King of Bollywood’. According to many, his bad phase started in 2010 after the rise of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. He started his career with ‘Dilwale’ following which he acted in some negative roles. SRK’s performance in ‘Darr’ was highly appreciated. 1995 was a landmark year in his legendary career where he delivered two of the biggest blockbusters of the decade in the form of ‘Karan Arjun’ and ‘Dilwale Dulhaniyan Le Jayenge’. His most decorated film DDLJ ran in theatres for over 15 years at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. The actor received more success with films like ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Pardes’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and ended 2000 on a high note.

Following 2000, he was having a decent time in Bollywood. However, it was the start of 2003 which where he established his legacy as a superstar in Bollywood. With the aid of films like ‘Devdas’, ‘Chalte Chalte’, ‘Main Hoon Na’, ‘Veer Zaara’, ‘Swades’, ‘Don’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, ‘Om Shanti Om’, ‘Chak De! India’ and ‘My Name Is Khan’ the actor gained the status of being called as the ‘King of Bollywood’. ‘Chennai Express’ was the movie with which Shah booked a lot of records at the Indian box office.

His recent films Dilwale, Fan, and Jab Harry Met Sejal failed to leave a big mark on Bollywood as the actor is going through his worst phase at the Indian box office. Though, Raees got the hit upon its release and beat Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil.
