This is going to be Akshay Kumar’s consecutive fifth to enter the hundred crore club. On the other hand, it will be Bhumi Pednekar’s first film to enter the prestigious club. Talking about the occupancy levels of the film, it was quite lower than its 1st Wednesday. However, considering its performing in the first five days, it was obvious that it will show some drops in the collection. Still, the hold of the film over the weekdays is good as well.

The second weekend of the movie will decide if it will beat Raees to become the highest grossing film of the year 2017 or stay at the #2 position. Also, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will most probably cross the hundred crore mark in the second weekend as well. As a matter of fact, the release of Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon, and Rajkumar Rao’s Bareilly Ki Barfi might eat up some money from the movie. However, unless and until Bareilly Ki Barfi becomes one of the best-received films of the year like Hindi Medium, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha will continue to dominate it at the Indian box office.
