It’s not the words that make the society better but the actions which take it to the next level. Following the similar principle, the Toilet: Ek Prem Katha star Akshay Kumar and the makers of the film launched 24 toilets in 24 hours in India.
The idea behind this action was to address open defecation concerns in the India. Toilets were launched in villages near Jaipur, Delhi, Rewari, Karnal, Panipat, Kota, Mohali, Yamuna Nagar, Narnaul and Gurugram.
The actor recently said in an interview that he had not gotten his due for his work in the film industry by stating:
“I still haven’t got my due as an actor from the industry; I just got the National Award.”
Akshay Kumar is thus leaving no stone unturned in the promotion of his upcoming release to ensure that people in India get rid of open defecation issue as soon as possible. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a film directed by Shree Narayan Singh. It is the love story of Keshav and Jaya that takes place in two villages near Mathura. However, the villain of the movie is not any badass action hero. Instead, it is the toilet that separates the couple from uniting.
Viacom18 Motion Pictures in collaboration with KriArj Entertainment, Cape of Good Films, Friday Film Works, Abundantia Entertainment and Plan C Studios are producing the film. It is going to hit screens on Friday later this week.
