When it comes to Central Board of Film Certification and Anurag Kashyap, they don’t really get along well. This is because Anurag’s movies usually have violence, gore and abuses and the Censor Board thus refrains from giving them the U/A clearance. Till date, most of his films barring a few like Mukkabaaz and Bombay Velvet got A certificate.
However, this time around, the director seems to be lucky with his upcoming film ‘Manmarziyaan.’ This movie that is slated to be released on September 14, 2018 has been cleared with a U/A certificate. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. It has been reported that the movie passed seamlessly with some minor cuts and succeeded in getting U/A certificate.
Anurag Kashyap is definitely a happy man with the certification. Sharing an incident with Bombay Times, he said, “I still remember Taapsee glaring at me and saying, ‘Listen, .. love story hai but please U/A chahiye, A nahin’ (laughs!). I have done things the way I haven’t done before because this is how I wanted to narrate a love story.”
The album of the movie was released earlier and it got a good response from the audience. The director and the actors now expect that the people love the movie too when it gets released this week. Right now, the whole team of the movie is busy in promotions on various TV shows and across cities in the country.
