Baadshaho Movie Review
Rating: 2/5 (two) stars
Thumbs Up: Great Performances, Suspense
Thumbs Down: Pale Script
Watch It or Skip It: Watch it. Even though it’ll alright if you miss this one but watching Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi on the big screen is special.
Baadshaho Movie Review: Plot
The movie kicks off in 1973 surrounded by the infamous deserts of Rajasthan with Ileana D’Cruz gracing the big screen as Rani Gitanjali Devi. Following her introduction, the emergency period of India was declared on June 25, 1975. Gitanjali gets arrested for having a huge number of ancestral wealth back in the time. On the other hand, Bhawani [Ajay Devgn] gets jailed for some small crime. The couple remembers their past relationship that they shared once upon a time.
Following this, Bhawani constructs a plan to get Gitanjali’s wealth back alongside Dalia [Emraan Hashmi], Tikla [Sanjay Mishra] and Sanjana [Esha Gupta]. However, their biggest roadblock inspector Seher [Vidyut Jammwal] stands right in their way.
Will the badass team get Gitanjali’s wealth back? Will inspector Seher stop the group of bandits? Find out all the answers in theatres.
Baadshaho Movie Review: Plot Analysis
First of all, for all the audience who are stepping foot in theatres with the hope of hearing some amazing one liners and expect Baadshaho to match the level of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’; we’d like to warn you beforehand. Don’t have high expectations for the movie. Rajat Arora, the mastermind writer behind incredible films like ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’, ‘The Dirty Picture’ and ‘Gabbar Is Back’ fails to impress with Baadshaho. The weak script is the culprit here.
Baadshaho Movie Review: Star Cast Performance
Ajay Devgn: He was spectacular in his role as Bhawani. The actor brought the badass feel to the big screen. He was definitely the best thing about Baadshaho/
Ileana D’Cruz: The actress does a decent job in her role as well. She had the royal touch in her that made her a perfect fit for Rani Gitanjali’s role.
Emraan Hashmi: He never fails to impress the audience. The actor was only second to Ajay Devgn in terms of performance.
Esha Gupta: In her small role, she fails to even have an impact in the movie. You’d prefer to watch her sensual pics on the social media instead of watching her in the film as she has does not have anything spectacular to do in it.
Vidyut Jammwal: He was a total waste in the movie. Only if he had more bit of role in the film, Baadshaho had a chance to be way more badass.
Sanjay Mishra & Others: Everyone including Sanjay Mishra played their part decently in the movie.
Baadshaho Movie Review: Final Thoughts
Given the Milan-Emraan-Ajay trio, Baadshaho fails to recreate the magic of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ by a long shot. Everything regarding the film was good. From direction to performance to music, everything was top-notch except for its script that heavily disappoints. Two stars for this film!
