Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan have constantly managed to hold on well at the Indian box office on the weekdays as well. After having an impressive first-weekend collection, both the films are marching towards a good first week total. Baadshaho collected 6.12 crores on its first Tuesday to take its total to 56.24 crores. On the other hand, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan brought in 2.85 crores on its Day 5 to take its total to 19.84 crores.
The collections of both the films have ensured that they will end up in the safe zone sooner or later. Though, the road still looks tough for Baadshaho which is made on a hefty budget of 80 crores. It has to firmly maintain its collections in the second week as well without falling out to new releases. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan will most probably enter the safe zone in the second weekend itself. Thus, the producers of the movie can start counting their profits soon.
Baadshaho is a heist film that narrates the story of a group of people who plot one of the biggest heists in Indian history during the emergency period. It features Ajay Devgn, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal, Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta and Sanjay Mishra in the lead role. It’s competitor Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is a social drama film that stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.
With Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, now Bhumi Pednekar has given three straight hits in her career. Ayushmann Khurrana will follow the similar lead as he has impressed everyone with his acts in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Both the films still have some more time to earn money till the release of Kangana Ranaut‘s Simran and Farhan Akhtar‘s Lucknow Central. The new releases Daddy and Poster Boys are expected to not hurt the collections of Baadshaho and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan.
