Disney just released the first teaser for the reboot of “The Lion King.”
Disney’s The Lion King is among the most cherished classic animated movies of all-time, setting the expectations for the new and latest adaptation insanely high. With the first teaser, the fans are excited to see these early teases of the upcoming ride of an adventure, mainly because of how precisely the director Jon Favreau has been able to capture the iconic scenes from the original animated film.
Rafiki, the Shaman baboon blesses Mufasa’s young son, Simba and raises him up high all the way on Pride Rock so that the whole animal kingdom including the elephants, birds, giraffes and other animals witness him as the new king-to-be.
If we compare it to the other teasers that Disney has released recently (for example, the new Aladdin), the teaser had many amazing shots with the expectations of their fans in mind. Unlike that teaser, this one doesn’t involve any of the new cast within the series to deliver any dialogues. Instead, it’s just about listening to iconic lines by James Earl Jones, who plays his role as King Mufasa again.
This CGI and live acting remake has a world of all-stars attached. King Mufasa is nurturing his cub, Simba (Donald Glover) to walk in his path. Beyonce, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Keegan-Michael Key, John Oliver, Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner also feature in this film.
Set to arrive by next summer, the film has huge names attached to it, including Beyonce, Donald Glover, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Seth Rogen.
The teaser was played at the NFL’s tradition of Thanksgiving primetime during the game in the US.
