Dostana was a film that was a big hit in 2008. John Abraham’s sculpt body and the sizzling chemistry between the trio i.e. John, Priyanka Chopra, and Abhishek Bachchan were loved by the audience and that’s the big reason why the makers of the movie were so keen to make its sequel.
The story of Dostana was based on homosexuality. The topic was something that was not much discussed or watched. When the movie was released, it gained a lot of appreciation from the audience and earned a huge box office collection.
Earlier this week, rumors on the sequel of Dostana were the talk of the town. The audience had their guesses about the star cast. According to the speculations, Jhanvi Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra have been paired up for the lead role for Dostana 2. It will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar.
As of now, the producer Karan Johar has no interest in breaking the news from his side and is denying any such rumors of Jhanvi working in Dostana 2. Digging into some past news of Karan Johar, who is considered as the Godfather of all the star kids, we have found out that he is very much interested in creating the ladder of success for Jhanvi by guiding her in the right path.
Well, Karan Johar has launched many star kids in the history and made their careers. But, as of now, he is quiet about the news of Jhanvi playing the lead role in Dostana 2 and is refusing any such rumors. Breaking the silence on his Twitter account, he tweeted, “Hello!!! All news circulating about DOSTANA 2 is untrue!!! Lots of speculation which is entirely baseless.”
Jhanvi Kapoor, who has already made her debut in Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khattar, is all set to work with successful stars. Talking about her upcoming projects with Karan Johar, she will be seen working with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Anil Kapoor in Karan Johar’s next big project ‘Takht’.
But, since the director himself has denied such rumors, it looks like Jhanvi’s and Siddharth’s fans have to wait a bit longer to see their favorite Jodi on the big screen.
