Now, Karan Johar revealed more details about the movie. According to that Karan said, Takht is an epic period drama set between two warring brothers during the Mughal Rule. The movie is based on facts and incidents.
If speculations are to be believed, the story of Takht is about Aurangzeb, son of Shah Jahan and Dara Shikogh. According to these speculations, Ranveer Singh will be playing the role of Aurangzeb and Kareena Kapoor Khan will act as Jahanara Begum, the first lady of Mughal Empire and Aurangzeb’s sister.
