Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, being his first ever directorial project, broke all the records and stole everybody’s heart through its mesmerizing story. Karan Johar, in a recent conversation with a caller of his show “calling Karan”, told that he would cast Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor in the upcoming sequel of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

A listener of Calling Karan asked Karan Johar about the sequel of his movie on the show. That is when Karan Johar revealed his plan about Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2. Karan Johar’s debut film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, and Kajol in the lead roles.

Karan ’s radio show Calling Karan Part 2 went on air recently and the director had told in the launching event of the show that he will be addressing the issues that are related to relationships. But, it seems like Karan is also determined to reveal all his thoughts about the industry too. Karan Johar has been revealing a lot of stuff through the show recently and this revelation is one of the most unexpected revelations about Bollywood.

Also, in a recent interview, Karan Johar had publically expressed that Ranbir Kapoor is his favorite actor in the industry. He praised the actor for his phenomenal work in the upcoming movie Brahmastra. Karan has mentored Janhvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt who debuted with the movies Dhadak and Student of the Year respectively.

Just last year, in an interview, Karan Johar spoke about his most successful movies Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Khabhie Gham and revealed that he was just 24 years old when he wrote the story for the movie and he still wonders how he could write such an intense drama back in those days. The director also confessed that he can’t write a movie like that anymore. We hope that Karan recreates more movies like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai soon.
