Mubarakan is running on great word-of-mouth gaining appreciation from the audience in India. The film witnessed a healthy growth of 40.57% on its second day collecting 7.38 crores compared to its first day’s 5.16 crores. On its third day, the film showed additional growth of over 100% in comparison to its first day and collected 10.37 crores to take its first weekend total to 22.91 crores.
Anil Kapoor is getting a lot of critical acclaim from both critics as well as the audience for his role in the movie. The actor is continuing to impress everyone with his amazing performances despite growing old. Talking about his work ethic, he said that Amit Ji [Amitabh Bachchan] advised the actor never to take a break. He told IANS:
“Amit ji took a five-year break after doing Khuda Gawaah. He had gone to New York to live a normal life. I had gone there while shooting for Meherbaan. I met and told him, I was tired after working for 25 years in films, and wanted a break.Amit ji told me, ‘Never commit such a mistake in life. Never take a break (from films).’ I went back and immediately signed two new films. I have never taken a break in my 38-year-long career.”

The family entertainer revolves around the story of two twins who went to seek advice from their uncle regarding their relationship troubles.
