Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor‘s Mubarakan fared decently on its first Tuesday. The collections are on par with Monday. The film collected additional 3.45 crores on its 5th day to take its total collections to 29.91 crores. The first week collections of the movie are going to be around 35-36 crores most probably.
The movie still needs more money to be in the safe zone and with the release of Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma‘s Jab Harry Met Sejal next week, it will be tough for Mubarakan to even recover its costs.
The movie featured the duo of Chacha-Bhatija in the major roles. Alongside the duo, the film also featured Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty in the lead roles. Arjun Kapoor recently shared his experience of working with his real life uncle Anil stating:
“That energy we talk about that’s affiliated with Anil Kapoor, it is real in its truest sense and the most real on set. And he is a child in the sense he’s still got that innocence and excitement to be on a film’s set.”
The actor also added:
“Everything for him is new like it’s the first day of the shoot, it’s the first shot he has given in his life. And he is a full teacher’s pet, he loves impressing his director. He gets such a big high when the director loves his shot. He feels he has topped in the class. So, he is a proper teacher’s pet, and I keep making fun of him.”
