Bollywood stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade congratulated filmmaker Farah Khan on Sunday. As their 2007 film, Om Shanti Om is adapted as a musical play in Japan.
Farah Khan is currently in Japan and shared photographs through Tweeter from the first night of the musical adaptation. She tweeted:
”First Bollywood film ever to get its own international musical adaptation! ‘Om Shanti Om‘opening night! Picture Abhi baaki hain.”
Deepika Padukone made her Bollywood debut with Om Shanti Om. In reply, she tweeted,
“Love you and miss you, Farah Khan. Forever grateful.”
Arjun Rampal said it’s an “awesome” step taken by Farah Khan. While Shreyas Talpade wrote:
“Was a small part of it but this one’s a big honor for me too, Farah Khan. All thanks to you and Shah Rukh Khan.”
Vishal-Shekhar composed the songs of the film Om Shanti Om. They both shared their excitement also. Shekhar tweeted,
“Beautiful memories Farah! Always grateful to you and Shah Rukh Khan for believing in us.”
In the meantime, Farah Khan also shared a photograph of a jacket from the dress rehearsal on Friday. She tweeted,
“We should have made this awesome jacket for Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Om Shanti Om‘ musical dress rehearsal was awesome… Japan truly celebrating the film.”
Shah Rukh Khan, who played the lead role as Om’s character in the film, hinted at the possibility of a sequel to Om Shanti Om. He wrote:
“Let’s do it in part two now. Last nite kids telling me how much they love ‘Om Shanti Om‘.”
Shah Rukh Khan is appearing in Imtiaz Ali’s next Jab Harry Met Sejal along with Anushka Sharma. Whereas, Deepika Padukone will be sharing the big screen with Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film Padmavati. On the other hand, Arjun Rampal will be ruling the box-office with his gangster film Daddy.
