Padmavati has been making a huge buzz in Bollywood since a long time now. Firstly, the film was scheduled to be released in December, but it was postponed due to the protest by the Rajput community across India and there was also a delay in issue of certification. But, this New Year has brought good news for the fans of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The wait might be over and Padmavati may release on 25 January, while Akshay Kumar’s Padman is also scheduled to release on the same day. There will be a clash at the box office.
The producers of Padmavati are working round the clock to release it as soon as possible. Sanjay Leela Bhansali had not commented on this. Rajput Karni Sena is demanding for a complete ban on the movie. They are offended due to misrepresentation of Queen Padmavati who is venerated as a goddess in the community. The CBFC has cleared the movie for release, after a long discussion with historians and members of the community who have found it fit.
Akshay Kumar said – “I am clueless what is happening….with clash. I have no idea about it. I also heard about it. All we know is Padman is releasing on 25 January.”
When it comes to the producer Prerna Arora, she said – “Padmavati is a very important film. It’s a beautiful film and it should release soon. I am also looking forward to seeing it. It depends on Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions to decide on the date.””
Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor and its trailer has got a huge response from the public. The film is made on a budget of INR 190 crores and everyone is anticipating its great success!
