Prabhas’ Saaho to Release on August 15 Next Year, to Clash with Mission Mangal, Batla House and Made in China

Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Sahoo has been slated for release on August 15, 2019. Sahoo is an action thriller directed by Sujeeth.

Sahoo also stars Neil Nitin Mukesh and Jackie Shroff in significant roles. The fat-budgeted film is reportedly clashing with the Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Mangal, John Abraham starrer Batla House and the Rajkummar Rao starrer Made in China. However, Sahoo and Batla House have the same producer and the latter is more likely to be postponed. The clash between Akshay Kumar and Prabhas starrer is eminent at the box office.

Sahoo went on floors in June 2017. It made quite some headlines with its first promo of an 8 minute long BTS video of the film. A whopping INR 7 crore was spent on the making of the video. The film’s poster was released on 23rd October 2018 and was subject to a lot of criticism. The poster got criticized for being similar to the poster of Blade Runner 2049.

The film is being made on a budget of 300 crore and is likely to use VFX. It is produced by UV Creations and T-Series and simultaneously being shot in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. The other prominent stars in the film are Evelyn Sharma and Mandira Bedi. A lot of efforts have been put into the making of the film as it marks the Bollywood debut of Prabhas and Kollywood debut of Shraddha Kapoor.

The mega star, Prabhas will be seen doing underwater sequences for the film and he has reportedly learnt Scuba diving for the same. Not only that, he has done cardiovascular training, weight training and plyometric obstacle races as a routine for his rigorous training for the film. The film is eagerly awaited by Prabhas’ fans worldwide.

Karan Johar’s Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles was also set to release on the 15th of August, but Karan Johar has emptied the slot of Akshay Kumar’s Batla House and postponed the release of Brahmastra to Christmas 2019.
