Ranbir Kapoor Believes That He Is A Disarming Product Of Nepotism!

Ranbir Kapoor, son of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor recently said in ‘AIB Podcast’ that he is a disarming product of Nepotism. Talking about the controversial debate if ‘Nepotism’, Tanmay Bhatt initially introduced Ranbir Kapoor saying:

“Our guest today comes from the family of Prithvi Raj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor.”

Then, Tanmay questioned Ranbir regarding his views on Nepotism to which Ranbir replied:

“I am a ‘disarming’ product of it ( pointing to the text on his shirt which read ‘disarming’).”

He also added:

“Of course it exists. I’m sitting here next to you guys (because of nepotism). I have a simple take on nepotism: I believe that my great-grandfather worked hard to give his children a platform, and so on and so forth.”
“I became an actor because of my family, and because I got the opportunity, and the thing is you don’t really get credit for your success because everyone just looks down upon your success.”

The debate of ‘Nepotism’ was brought by Kangana Ranaut when she termed Karan Johar as the ‘flag bearer of Nepotism’. Reacting to her comments, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan took a shot at her at IIFA awards in New York City. When Varun Dhawan came on the stage to receive the award for Best Actor in Comic Role for Dishoom, Saif said:

“You are here because of your papa (film-maker Boney Kapoor).”

Replying to Saif, Varun said:

And you’re here because of your mummy (legendary actress Sharmila Tagore).”

Karan Johar then intentionally added:

“I am here because of my papa (late filmmaker Yash Johar).”

Then, they together said:

“Nepotism Rocks.”

Ranbir Kapoor is presently busy shooting for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which is scheduled to release next year.
