Sajjad Khan is a Pakistani Singer who is well-known for singing Pashto and Urdu songs. Among the contemporary artists in Pakistan, he is considered as one of the most famous proponents of Pashto music. Khan got recognition among the masses when he sang a fusion song in two different languages, namely Pashto and Urdu.
Sajjad Khan was born on March 1, 1996, in Islamabad. However, his family decided to move to Peshawar for business purpose. Since then, he decided to become a singer and make a career out of his talent. Khan’s music career started back in 2013. Many of his songs are in Pushto and Urdu language. He has been associated with Shrang Studios for the most part of his career. He debuted with ‘Ma Wel Toba Kom‘ which still remains one of his best works till date. Other popular works of Sajjad Khan highlight New Touch Production’s ‘Tere Bin‘ and ‘Muhabbat Yawa Khatta‘.
Sajjad Khan has also worked with Pashto cinema industry, widely known as Pollywood, in January 2016. In addition to this, he has an eye for talent as well. Precisely, he appreciated raw talent and urges his fans to promote such talents to the world. Talking about one of the incidents where he spotted a raw talent, he said:
“I called a painter to repair my room. He saw my pics where I was holding a mic. He asked me if I was a singer? I replied, ‘Yes, I am’. Then, he told me that he wants to sing a song. I immediately recorded his voice. He had an amazing voice. He was 18 years old. I was shocked when he finished singing the song. I decided to upload this video. Support and appreciate raw talent, it exists everywhere.”
The singer has won awards such as ‘New Touch Award’, ‘Shamshad TV Award’, ‘Afghan TV Award’ and ‘Khyber Award’ for his music. Overall, he is a great singer who has a bright future ahead of him. We’d look forward to watching him perform in bigger projects as soon as possible!
