Sarah Palin claims that Sacha Baron Cohen is “evil, exploitative and sick” as she describes that he disguised himself as a wounded military veteran for an obstinate interview. Sarah Palin who is a popular American Politician, commentator, author and reality television personality who served as the ninth Governor of Alaska describes to the media that she was duped by Sacha for an interview for an upcoming TV show ‘Who is America?’ apparently the British funny man was eventually recognised by her and the realization left her so infuriated that she dropped her mic midway and walked away during the filming.
Sarah has put up a post on Facebook that she and one of her daughters flew across the US to Washington DC after she was requested to contribute and be a part of an upcoming “legit historical documentary” and that the interviewer was purely disguised as a disabled US veteran sitting on a fake wheelchair. She also mentions she sat through a very long interview full of Hollywoodism disrespect and sarcasm. “Yup – we were duped. Ya’ got me, Sacha. Feel better now? I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick ‘humour’ of the British ‘comedian’”, Palin was aghast when she wrote in a Facebook post addressing the incident.
Palin also said that once the interview had ended, the show’s producers deliberately dropped her and her daughter off at the wrong airport, knowing that they would be unable to catch a flight back to Alaska, and refused to support the pair in getting home.
On Monday, it was revealed that Sacha Baron Cohen had spent a year undercover filming a new project for the Showtime channel. The series, Who Is America? explores a range of figures “across the political and cultural band” and is reported to broadcast the interviews with Bernie Sanders, Dick Cheney – and Palin. A teaser which was released for the show features a clip of Cheney being asked to sign a “waterboarding kit”.
While these sort of television series will be continued to be made full fledgedly and the series features celebrities and politicians being pranked alike, despite the producers and anchors of these shows facing criticism, it’s the American taxpayers who will sit back and watch the fun for once!
