Scarlett Johansson and Uma Thurman Are in the Dream Cast List of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Upcoming Movie ‘Pataakha’


Director Vishal Bhardwaj seems a lot busy promoting his upcoming movie ‘Pataakha’. Well, looking at the past film history of the director, he has always focused on making dramatic movies. But, this time, the director seems to be trying his hands on a mixture of drama-comedy.

What new we could see this time is a whole new cast including actors like Sunil Grover, Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan. The director seems focused on building a new team of actors from the scratch. The day when the first trailer of the movie was launched, it gained quite a number of followers on social media. People love the enmity between two sisters. In the trailer, we saw a fire of energy from the two girls fighting with each other both physically and verbally. What more you can see is Sunil Grover enjoying the fight between two girls.

The storyline is based on Charan Singh Pathik’s short story titled ‘Do Behnein’: a story of two sisters who share a bond of difficult relationship with each other. The film is directed and produced by Vishal Bharadwaj.

When the director was asked about why he chose to cast new actors, the director replied in a fun way that he wanted to work with Scarlett Johansson and Uma Thurman as it would be very funny to see them talk in Rajasthani.

He then said, “I wanted to cast new people in this film because the kind of commitment I was seeking in this film would have been given to me by new actors only and working with a new star cast was amazing as the energy they created on the sets was fascinating.“

The trailer that was launched on August 15 collected over 9.6 million views on YouTube. The actors have done extremely well and there are more appreciations to come on their way commented a viewer.
