The latest addition to the star cast of Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi is the versatile Bollywood actor Sonu Sood. Sonu is currently involved in various South and Bollywood commitments. Despite his busy schedule, Sonu Sood has agreed to act in Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi. The film revolves around the story of Jhansi Queen, Kangana Ranaut. While Kangana plays the titular role, we will see Sonu acting in a pivotal role.
According to the reports, Sonu will play the role of a warrior in the film. His character named Maratha Chief Sadashiv Rao Bhau is a warrior who lost his life in Panipat battle the third against Ahmed Shah Abdil.

“Sonu will essay the role of a warrior, Sadashiv in the historical drama in Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi, alongside Kangna Ranaut. The versatile actor has already begun his prep for the film directed by Krish.”
Sonu is excited to participate in one of the most awaited historical dramas. Regarding his role and acting in Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi, he said:
“It is challenging to play a real life character because you know that it existed in the history and you have certain parameters to follow and stay within. I’m sure when you’re working with a brilliant director like Krish, a huge ensemble and a brilliant technical team; there is no way to go wrong. So we are all on our toes to give our best.”
The Bollywood actor has also acted in historical dramas previously including “Jodha Akbar” and “Shaheed-E-Azam.” In Jodha Akbar, he played the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s brother, Sujamal.
Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi also stars Ankita Lokhande, Suresh Oberoi in pivotal roles. The film is set to release on April 27 next year.
