Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer movie, Sui Dhaaga’s trailer released today and both the actors look extraordinary in common man’s role. Varun Dhawan is seen portraying the role of a commoner called Mauji whereas the PK actress Anushka Sharma essays the role of Mamta, Muji’s wife.
The trailer captures the essence of real India and its employment problem. Varun Dhawan aka Mauji is a villager who is trying to get work to support himself and his family. Anushka is seen providing constant support to Varun where she cannot withstand her husband being ill-treated by people. The story of the movie talks about the journey of Mauji, a common man from being unemployed to self-employed. The entrepreneurship drama is filled with interesting twists and turns to keep the story interesting.
Sui Dhaaga is inspired by Indian Government’s Make in India campaign and this movie perfectly encapsulates the essence of the struggle and dedication required to set up a business in India. Anushka Sharma’s look is kept minimal to suit the character of the movie. The trailer takes you on a mini-journey of Mauji and Mamta where Mamta inspires Mauji to do something on his own instead of getting insulted by people. Mauji starts his new business with a sewing machine and marks his first step towards self-employment.
Varun Dhawan’s cute antics steal the show. Sui Dhaaga is directed by Sharat Kataria and Maneesh Bharadwaj who had made a big news with their critically acclaimed movie like Dum Laga Ke Hai Haisha. Varun Dhawan’s dynamic performance and Anushka Sharma’s grounded role form a great combination. The trailer of the movie has left everyone stunned. It is indeed exciting to see big stars in a common man’s role.
In a recent press release, talking about the movie, Varun Dhawan said that all the leaders of our country have promoted made in India campaign and he is proud to take the campaign further through this movie.
