After the trailer of the much-awaited movie based on the life of Sanjay Dutt, ‘Sanju’ was released in April, its first song was released yesterday. The track to which Sonu Nigam and Sunidhi Chauhan have lent their voice features Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.
The movie Sanju is based on the life story of Sanjay Dutt and the character of Sanjay is depicted by Ranbir Kapoor in the movie. Sunil Dutt doubted the lip-syncing abilities of Sanjay Dutt when he started his career. That is depicted in this movie where Ranbir tells his co-star about it at the start of the song and then lip-syncs the song to the voice of a woman to prove that his father was wrong.
The fans really liked the trailer of the movie when it was released and now this song titled ‘Badhiya‘ is trending. The song takes one back to the 80s and both the singers Sonu and Sunidhi have done a superb job by adapting the nasal quality that was specific to the singers in the 80s.
In the song, Ranbir is seen enacting on each and every word, making the video very funny, appealing, and enjoyable. At the same time, some of the fans of Sanjay Dutt might be offended by the video. This is because Sanjay belongs to the era wherein a man was defined by his machismo. Depicting such a hero in a feminine role might irk the fans
The song actually is comical where Ranbir is acting like a woman and Sonam is doing the man’s part. Sonam and Ranbir are together in a movie after a gap of 10 years after their debut together in Saawariya.
The movie is set to release on 29 June 2018.
