When it comes to Bollywood superhero movies, it takes courage from a director’s point of view to make it. Moreover, the actor’s image stays at stake too. We have seen movies like Ra One, Flying Jatt and Krish failing miserably at the box office and this is the reason why our directors don’t want to take any risk. Surprisingly, last month we saw the exciting trailer of Bhavesh Joshi as a desi superhero and guess what? It looks promising. We saw Harshvardhan Kapoor as an angry young man in a black superhero costume and fans are already going crazy for him.
Recently, the director revealed that the initial choice was different regarding the lead role. “We spoke to Shahid, but it was very briefly. Imran Khan was to be part of it, then it went to Sidharth Malhotra. With Imran it was like, his career wasn’t going well and we couldn’t raise the money. I am quite sad about it. With Sidharth, it just fell apart. With Shahid, it was just a conversation, it was never formulated,” Motwane said.
Talking about the film, Bhavesh Joshi is a local superhero who fights against corruption by wearing a black suit in the movie. The trailer is already connecting well with the audience with some heavy punch dialogues and we hope it gives us a good show. Harshvardhan Kapoor who made his debut with Mirzya is back and this time in a different role. According to the director, this movie is influenced by some vintage classics like Deewar, Zanjeer and Mr. India and moreover he has taken some inputs from Marvel comics too.
Bhavesh Joshi is all set to release on May 25th. Save the date!
