The Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha has been on a roll lately. The film finally ended the rough phase of Bollywood by showing an upward trend in collections. It looks like we finally have a film that is going to end his phase of Bollywood. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics, the movie earned 13.10 crores on its Day 1 (1st Friday) followed by an impressive 17.10 crores on its Day 2 (1st Saturday). The film additionally earned 21.25 crores on Day 3 (1st Sunday) to take its final total to 51.45 crores at the Indian box office.

Toilet: Ek Prem Katha started off well initially occupying 50% occupancy in the morning shows. The occupancy was way more than its first and second day. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. The actress made her debut with Ayushmann Khurrana in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ back in 2015. After two long years, she once again delivers a hit.
