The Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is making rounds all over India garnering a huge amount of money consistently at the Indian box office. However, what about the overseas performance of the movie. Unfortunately, unlike the domestic circuit, the movie is not performing as much good out of India. Check out the full overseas box office collection report of the film.
As of now, the film stands at a total of 14.59 crores (2.27 million USD) at the overseas box office. On the other hand, the movie has earned around 83.45 crores till now at the Indian box office with its gross collection being around 120 crores. Therefore, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha presently stays still with the worldwide total of 134.75 crores at the worldwide box office.
Comparing the domestic collection of the movie with Jab Harry Met Sejal, it’s quite hard to believe that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer is way ahead of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. While the Akshay Kumar starrer beat the collection of Jab Harry Met Sejal in mere four days in India, it is not even coming close to the collection of the other film in the overseas market.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a movie that goes against the issue of open defecation in India. It is the story of an ordinary man who stands up against the old beliefs of his father in order to bring her wife back in his life. The film earned additional 20 crores on its first Tuesday and it aiming for a 93-95 crore first week in the domestic region. It will soon beat Jab Harry Met Sejal’s lifetime collection of 144.62 crores in its first week as well.
