The latest movie flick Fanney Khan has been directed by Atul Manjrekar who has re-created the popular Dutch film “Everybody’s Famous!” in an Indianized version. The upcoming film targets latest problems such as body-shaming which is a major cause of worry among the youths these days. Fanney Khan also highlights the father-daughter relationship, wherein Anil Kapoor plays the role of an aspiring musician and a desperate father who can do anything to secure the future of his daughter . Produced by Rakeysh Ompraksh Mehra, Fanney Khan is ready to hit the big screens on 3 August, and the trailer will be released on 6th July.
The upcoming Indian Hindi musical comedy film, features Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. The cast constitutes of Anil Kapoor who plays Fanney Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Baby Singh, Rajkummar Rao as Adhir, Divya Dutta as Kavita Sharma and Pihu Sand as Lata Sharma. Whereas, Karan Singh Chhabra’s and Anaitha Nair’s roles are still yet to be deciphered. The cinematography was done by Tirru, music of the film has been composed by Amit Trivedi while the lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil.
Ever since the makers have dropped pictures on social media, it has successfully become the talk of the town. In one of the posters released by Anil Kapoor on twitter show him in the mask of famous Kollywood star Rajnikanth, making fans suspicious of his appearance. But the following image portrays him without the mask, confusing the view’s concept about his role in the movie. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a famous musician in the film, has been witnessed been tied by a rope to the chair which she sits on with a puzzled expression on her face. Rajkummar Rao’s all the more surprised look adds curiosity to the impression of the movie. To spice it even more, he wrote below the poster, “Everything is fair in love and war & in a quest to achieve your dreams! How far will they go? Find out soon!”
The supposedly remake of the 2000 Belgian satirical comedy movie “Everybody’s Famous!” which was previously directed, produced and written by Dominique Deruddere revolves around a young teenage girl who is encouraged by her poor parents to become a popular musician/singer. The movie casted Josse De Pauw, Eva Van Der Gucht, Werner De Smedt, Thekla Reuten and Victor Löw.. Although the movie released in Dutch, and was dubbed in Spanish and English languages it failed to make a huge impact among Indian audience.
