The late actor Vinod Khanna’s youngest son Sakshi Khanna was previously going to make his acting debut in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali production film with Mukesh Chhabra as the film’s director. However, he decided to form a production company named ‘Jugaad Motion Pictures’ with his friend Dheer Momaya in 2015. The company filmed many TV commercials, music videos, etc. Though, Sakshi is finally entering into film production after a brief meeting with an Ukranian writer-director Dar Gai.
After filming a short film titled as ‘Teen Aur Aadha’ which is now gearing up to make rounds in the International film festival circuit, Sakshi was prepping up for his production’s second film ‘Namdev Bhau’ which is final stages of post-production as of now. However, after these two films, they are going to work on their biggest venture till date. Alongside the financial backing from overseas clients, they are going to film for the film titled as ‘Nuns’. The movie is going to be an Indo-Italian co-production which is reportedly going to go on the floors in early 2018. As per Sakshi’s friend Dheer, they have a completely different goal in mind. Dheer said:
“We want to disrupt the way the Indian film industry works and make films we believe in.”
The production company’s latest film Namdev Bhau has a Maharashtrian 65-year old driver Namdev Gurav playing the lead role in the movie. Their previous movie ‘Teen Aur Aadha’ got extra support from an established film-maker, Anurag Kashyap, as well. The film featured Jim Sarbh, Zoya Hussein, MK Raina and Suhasini Mule in the major roles.
